Sundays around the Simpas household usually starts when mom roll calls each of our names to wake us up for church. It usually is a challenge to me and my siblings to wake up since weekends are supposed to be days to laze around in bed after a long week from work and school.
Yesterday was kind of different though. I woke up earlier than expected and washed my clothes, expecting that we were supposed to hear mass in a couple of hours. But mom and dad got busy fixing broken appliances and cleaning the house that we didn't get to go anywhere at all.
Since I have already fixed my room, I helped mom clean up her closet. I found clothes, bags, wallets and stuff that she didn't use anymore. Also, old pictures she began keeping in the safe box after the uneventful flood that we experienced about 3 years ago.
I took photos of these old photos (since we don't have a scanner) after making fun of our faces. Here are some of the photos I took:
Mom and dad on their wedding day.
Funny how after I took this photo, I showed this to my sibs and we ended up teasing our parents. Haha.
My dad's graduation picture.
My mom's.
That's me at 1 year old.
My brother, Ogie.
Mikko.
Yes, that's right. I can't remember what I sang to get this star though.
Those were the ribbons I got in 2nd grade that mom dearly kept.
The last 2 are unbelievable. Hahaha.
Oh, by the way, my name's spelled Marianne.
